Birthday- No tears Here!!!

Thursday, July 7, 2011

Ah I love my birthday, more than I probably should. I find it a cause to pamper myself for and entire and week and endulge in absolute selfish vanity for one day. I am completely convinced that not only did the day of my birth change my parents and all imediate and extended families lives, but it has also changed the life of everyone I have ever come into contact with and one day WILL be celebrated as a World Wide Holiday that even WalMart closes for! Yes, on my birthday I convince myself that I am quite special and no matter what happens no one can make me believe otherwise. I celebrate for an entire week each day of the week alotting a minimum of 10 min just for ME! I take a bubble bath or give myself a pedicure, maybe make myself some cookies or read a book. And then on my birthday I refuse to do anything I do not enjoy doing. For example no laundry, dishes, vacuuming, or making the bed. I do not like any of those things. And if no one makes me a birthday treat I will make my own. Which pans out better anyway because I know what I like.
And this Birthday Treat was Delish!!!! I made 4 of them and shared only 1 with my hubby.
Speaking of my hubby he was sooooooo sick on my birthday. He came home and went straight to bed, which isn't like him at all. Usually I get very spoiled. So Emy and I partied without him.
We had a toast to me with Chocolate Milk. And yes, Emy had chocolate formula. And can I just say she has never drank it so well! Big Smile.
Happy Birthday to ME!!!! 22 and counting

Hanging with Dad at Aunt Kiera's Queen Contest

I got it from my Mama!

Enjoying our Summer Sun ( and wind and rain and snow)

Emy does this new thing where she gives herself kisses in the mirror and then giggles and giggles. It's so stinking cute.

So my little girl refuses to crawl. But she will walk all day long. I'm getting my running shoes worn in because as soon as she figures out her balance I'm afraid walking will be non existant- she will be off and running. YIKES

Camping At Last

We finally decided to brave the weather and try our luck at camping.

Brilliant Right!
It snowed and snowed and snowed. Luckily we were able to sneak in some campfire time. Good think I thought to pack Emy's Snowsuit. She fell asleep at the fireside all warm and toasty!
Good Memories

Just a Sunday Drive .....Surprise.... Sunday Adventure----- Thanks Al

Our Sunday morning went something like this:
9:00am
Kaysha- Are we doing anything today Al?
Al- I don't know. I want to sleep in.
Kaysha- We should probably go to church since we skipped last week.
Al- Hmm
Kaysha- Did you want to go see your dad?
Al- I dunno
Kaysha- My grandpa wants us to show him a few campsites, we could do that.
Al- Maybe (rolls over and falls back asleep)

Al finally wakes up A WHILE later. (big smile) and says get ready lets go fishing. And we head to......Island Park??? Whatever I'm game.

Only surprise, Al knows I have never seen a real live wolf ( I have seen a hybrid ) and the only real live bear I have ever seen was in Yellowstone Park last year. So where did he take me?????? The Grizzly Bear and Wolf Discovery Center in Yellowstone.
We saw 2 grizzly bears that were playing in the water and digging and eating roots. It was so fun. We also saw 2 different packs of wolves. I think they are so pretty. Emy liked the animals for the most part but she was fascinated with the fences and gates keeping them in. And she loved touching the bear furs they had laying out.
After the Discovery Center we headed over to the IMAX theater and watch a film about cave explorers. I could SO do that. How amazing. I loved it. Emy sat fairly well through that although I ended up having to feed her right in the middle of the film. Good thing there were only like 3 other people in there.
After that we headed home.

And made a pit stop at Mesa Falls. Emy was Awh Struck. This time she hardly even noticed the fence. She LOVED the water!
The last time we were here I was pregnant and Uncle Bob was with us. Great Memories

And then Al let Emy drive home. Big Smile it was so fun!
What a perfect Sunday Drive.

Tis the Season to be Camping...... Or is it???

So I'm a camp-o-holic. I would camp all summer long if I could. But since the weather wouldn't cooperate we decide to just to go and have a weenie and mallo roast with our great friends- Justin and Katrina Sauer.

And Emy got to thoroughly enjoy her very first genuine CampFire Roasted Marshmallow! And she LOVED it!

And we saw a mama moose and her baby on our drive to the campsite. (Yes despite us not camping overnight we still drove to a campsite for our roast! Go big or go home.)

All in all a very great evening.

My Emy

Oh my baby is growing soooo Fast! I just love her. One of my favorite things about her is her facial expressions. Her aunts attribute it to her dancing eyebrows, but what ever it is there are some faces I practically stand on my head and juggle to get her to do. For instance:
This is her I'm done eating and get that spoon out of my face look. How can you not smile when you see that. So when feeding her I look forward to her being full!

Mother's Day...Who Me???...Ahh Yes!

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Here's to the body I'll never have back, my scars, stretch marks, and those last 10 pounds I may or may not lose, my husband that made it possible and my beautiful baby girl that makes it all worth it!
When I woke up to hear my husband say " Happy Mother's Day" I was so excited. My first mothers day was awesome. We got a call from "Uncle Bob" and then Al surprised me with a little road trip and we ended the day by visiting my mom. It was such a great day!

On a few other notes:

So my parents have a new horse at their house that is very kid friendly...

and Emy LOVES him!

Also here's an update on Emy's puppy Bud.

I took this in the rear-view mirror. He's so cute with her. I just love it.
Ah Good Times and Great Memories: well until next time.
